Justice

Created in the image of whatever one must compile worthy of imagery, we are a people at times less concerned with grace.  In the aftermath of grief, the fortune of a nation hinges on its ability to foster concern.  The core of our beliefs is a concept forged in the pursuit of justice.  Our rights scream from mountaintops, “Don’t tread on us!” Our resolve is at no point unworthy to the likeness of God.  It is, emphatically, his image in which our thirst for justice is defined. It is, emphatically, our rights that render us unqualified to administer.  In the wake of redemptive action, our posture towards the death of a killer touches the duality that exists within us all.

How do we navigate the waters of grace while afloat the raft of justice?  In short the answer, we don’t.  It is outside of our role and responsibility.  We are called beneath it, to tread in the waters of grace, while placing our petition for justice in the hands of the only one qualified to navigate. Let God do his job.
